"I Don't Fuck With No Nigga That Rap If It Ain't Benny"

I've been holding off for a while now. I've been waiting to see if anything new dropped or if my opinion changed. But we're now halfway through November and nothing. So, I'm ready to officially declare my favourite rap album of the year. Now, let me be clear, this ain't my favourite album this year. Tyler still has that crown, but my favourite rap album of the year is... "The Plugs I Met" by Benny the Butcher.  Now if you've had a conversation with me at all this year, you should already know how hard I've been pushing this album. So to a lot of you this shouldn't come as that much of a surprise. However, to some others, you might not have hear of this album or this rapper. That's fine. But while you're here allow me to at least try to explain what it is about this album that has it ranked above everybody and everything else that's come out this year. And that's exactly how it should be. The recent surge of women shining and thriving in the hip-hop has naturally been met with too much noise from discontent men hating on the movement. And granted by some women too. Now please, don't take this as me pandering or anything like that but I just feel a need to voice my thoughts on the hypocrisy. So hot take, in case you didn't know, women are held to a much different standard in society. And unfortunately, that same standard has been pushed into the world of hip-hop. What makes me say this?  For the past year whether it be on social media, watching male artists do interviews or just in casual conversation, I've heard a lot of people state that all these women rap about is twerking and popping pussy. Firstly...that's cap. However, even if that was true...what's the problem? We've only now come out of a decade of male rappers talking about popping pills and seeing who does the most. Or had y
